What case clearance does an RTX 5090 Founders Edition need?

For the card itself, plan around NVIDIA's 304mm length and 137mm height. For installation, FitMyPC uses NVIDIA's 61mm case-clearance envelope and adds the manufacturer's recommended 36mm power-cable space to the card height. That creates a 173mm side-space planning requirement before any case-specific geometry is considered.

This is why a case can have more than 304mm of GPU length and still fail the FitMyPC check: the limiting factor may be the side-panel/cable envelope or installation thickness rather than length.
